Meet the Team
David G. Young, CPA brings more than 35 years of experience advising business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals across accounting, taxation, financial services, and business consulting. After going out on his own in 1997, David formally founded Young & Company CPAs, LLP in 1999—building the firm into a well-established CPA firm in the Rochester region and a recognized veteran-owned business.
Julie joined the firm in 2001 bringing with her 10 years experience from the Internal Revenue Service and KPMG, one of the big four accounting firms. She became a partner in the firm in 2010 and holds a CPA license in the state of New York. With over 15 years of public accounting experience, Julie works to help clients manage the day-to-day details of their finances so they can focus on what they do best – growing their business.
Sean has worked in public accounting since 2005. He has experience in audit, review, and tax. Industries he has experience with include real estate, construction, manufacturing, retail, and restaurants. He also had experience with sales tax, bookkeeping, and payroll.
Joe has over 30 years of experience in the Tax and financial services industry. His background includes; tax preparation for individuals and small business, retirement planning, financial planning, tax planning, real estate consulting, and representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state governments. Joe is enrolled to practice before the IRS.
Alex has several years of experience working at public accounting firms in the Rochester area, both in administrative and accounting roles. He is currently in the process of becoming an Enrolled Agent, a designation reserved for tax experts who are empowered to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service.
Brian Shrestha works in accounting and IT, helping keep the firm’s operations running smoothly. He handles financial tasks, resolves technical issues, supports individual tax preparation,
Rhett joined Young and Company in 2025 as a tax accountant focusing on return preparation and strategic tax planning for individuals and small businesses.
Zack has worked at Young & Company CPAs since graduating from St. Bonaventure University in 2021. He then worked part-time during tax season while doing his MBA in accounting online. He has experience in bookkeeping, individual and business tax preparation, and tax planning.
Angela Scioria is a part-time worker and helps with administrative work here at Young & Company. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in general management and studying basic accounting. Angela works hard to juggle her school and work life but still manages to bring the best results.
